๐Ÿ› ๏ธ Recommended Settings

To get the best experience in Homestead, here are some recommended settings and tips for smooth gameplay:

๐Ÿ’พ RAM Allocationโ€‹

  • Recommended: 5 GB
  • Maximum Needed: 10 GB Allocating more than 10 GB may hurt performance instead of helping it. Stick within the 5โ€“10 GB range for optimal results!

๐ŸŽ Mac Compatibilityโ€‹

Homestead does work on Mac! Weโ€™ve had multiple beta testers successfully run the pack on Mac laptops and desktops.

โš ๏ธ Note: Shaders can sometimes be tricky on Mac systems. Expect potential issues if you use shader packs. If you are crashing before even booting, please remove the mods Eldritch End and Spark

๐Ÿ–ฅ๏ธ Lower-End Device Recommendationsโ€‹

If you're using a lower-end gaming laptop or device, we recommend turning off shaders before entering the game.

  • Homestead comes preloaded with shaders enabled to enhance the cozy atmosphere.
  • However, shaders can be very demanding on weaker computers.

How to disable shaders:โ€‹

  1. Open Minecraft and go to Settings.
  2. Navigate to Video Settings.
  3. Click Shader Packs (top right corner).
  4. Click Disable.

Turning off shaders can greatly improve your performance if you're experiencing lag!

And make sure that you lower your Render and Simulation distance as well!

๐Ÿก Enjoy your cozy adventure in Homestead! ๐ŸŒฟโ€‹
