🛡️ Progression System Overview

Homestead layers extra gear and upgrade paths on top of vanilla progression. You can grind for combat sets, go wide into stat-based armor, or just pick up better mining tools, whichever route fits how you play.

The sections below cover each of the main gear mods in the pack and what they add.

🪨 Obsidian Equipment Reworked: A Mid-Tier Upgrade​

Obsidian Equipment Reworked adds a new tier of gear that fits between Diamond and Netherite.

  • Tougher than Diamond
  • Easier to obtain than Netherite
  • Great for players looking for a stepping stone into the late game

💎 Mythic Upgrades: Stat-Based Armor & Tool Sets​

Mythic Upgrades introduces eight unique gear sets, each with its own tool ability and armor set bonus. Tool abilities proc on hit, and armor set bonuses apply when you're wearing the full set.

Each set is crafted from its respective ingot and gem. Here's what each does:

🔴 Ruby​

  • Tools: Life Steal. Heal yourself for a portion of the damage you deal.
  • Armor set: Blood Thirst. Heals you whenever a nearby entity takes damage.
  • Found in Mythic Rifts (Nether).
  • Best for aggressive front-line melee.

🟡 Topaz​

  • Tools: Topaz Wave. Unleashes a shock wave every few hits.
  • Armor set: Topaz Reaction. Retaliates with a shock wave when you're hit, plus reduced fall damage.
  • Found in Warm Mythic Caves (Overworld).
  • A well-rounded offensive set with survivability.

🟢 Peridot​

  • Tools: Lethal Incubation. Targets explode into a poison cloud when they die.
  • Armor set: Miasma. Toxic cloud poisons nearby enemies at regular intervals.
  • Found in Cold Mythic Caves (Overworld).
  • Ideal for slow-kill combat and mob farming.

🟩 Jade​

  • Tools: Jade Rush. Short Jade Aura buff on hit with a small chance to teleport the target.
  • Armor set: Jade Aura. Grants Speed and Jump Boost, and leaves a trail cloud that slows enemies.
  • Found in Mythic Barrens (End).
  • Perfect for exploration and terrain traversal.

🟦 Aquamarine​

  • Tools: Freeze on hit, plus the Ice Bomb ability that detonates into a freeze burst.
  • Armor set: Ice Shield. Freezes attackers when you're hit.
  • Found in Cold Mythic Caves (Overworld).
  • Great for kiting and crowd control.

🟠 Citrine​

  • Tools: Charged. Chains lightning to nearby targets on hit. Killing a Charged target calls down lightning bolts.
  • Armor set: Static Field. Surrounds you with an electric field that damages nearby enemies and stacks the more you hit.
  • Found in Warm Mythic Caves (Overworld).
  • An electric AoE set with strong group-fight potential.

🔷 Sapphire​

  • Tools: Percent Damage. Deals bonus damage based on the target's current health.
  • Armor set: Damage Deflection. Redirects incoming damage back to the attacker.
  • Found in Mythic Rifts (Nether).
  • A tanky defender kit for taking heavy hits.

💜 Ametrine​

  • Tools: Gravity Strike. Applies Levitation on hit with a small teleport chance.
  • Armor set: Arcane Aura. Gravitational field that levitates nearby enemies.
  • Found in Mythic Barrens (End).
  • A disruptive magical set for controlling groups of mobs.

Materials outside the eight gear sets:

  • Necoium: a repair material and Netherite-tier armor trim, also crafts into blocks and a Necoium Carrot food item.

Each set supports diverse playthroughs, letting you tailor your gear to your preferred method of combat, mining, or movement.

🔥 Advanced Netherite: Tiered Late-Game Progression​

The Advanced Netherite mod reimagines traditional Netherite by introducing upgrade paths that combine Netherite with other materials (Iron, Gold, Diamond, etc.) to enhance or specialize your gear.

This creates an expanded late-game loop, giving you:

  • More upgrade paths
  • Modular improvement options
  • A satisfying reason to keep grinding past Netherite
