π οΈ How to Request Features & Submit Bug Reports
Found a bug or have a cool idea to improve Homestead? We want to hear from you! Our team actively monitors feedback and responds as quickly as we can to community input. Hereβs how to properly submit an issue or request:
π Submitting a Bug Reportβ
If something in the modpack isn't working as intended (e.g. crashes, broken quests, missing textures, etc.), follow these steps:
- Go to the "Issues" tab on our Github.
- Click the green "New issue" button.
- Title your issue clearly (e.g. "Crash when right-clicking on Tranquil Lantern").
- Describe the bug in detail β include what you were doing, any error messages, or logs if available.
- On the right-hand side, click the βοΈ gear icon next to "Labels", and select the label "bug".
- Once everything is filled out, click "Create issue" (green button at the bottom).
π Requesting a Featureβ
Have an idea for a new questline, structure, mechanic, or cozy quality-of-life mod? Weβd love to hear it!
- Go to the "Issues" tab on our Github.
- Click the green "New issue" button.
- Give your idea a clear title (e.g. "Feature Request: Weather-based farming bonuses").
- Describe your idea in as much detail as possible β what it would do, how it would work, and why it fits Homestead.
- On the right-hand side, click the βοΈ gear icon next to "Labels", and select the label feature request.
- Click "Create issue" (green button).
β±οΈ What Happens Next?β
Once submitted:
- A team member will respond to your issue as fast as we can
- For bugs: we may ask follow-up questions or request logs
- For features: weβll discuss viability and fit with the design goals of Homestead
