Custom CozyStudios Core Mod

CozyStudios Core is the main framework mod that powers all CozyStudios projects and modpacks. It provides custom mobs, items, blocks, villager professions, and config-friendly features that enhance gameplay without breaking vanilla balance.​

🧸 Mobs​

🌱 Fernling​

Peaceful spirits that help your farms flourish.
Spawns: Forests, Deserts, Badlands, Taigas, Icy Biomes, Snowy Biomes, Swamps
Variants: Normal, Cactus, Frosted, Swampy
Taming & Breeding Item: Cozy Crumbs

Behavior

  • Can be tamed and sat.
  • Random chance every few minutes to bonemeal the ground around you.
  • Bonemeal radius, cooldown, and chance are configurable.
  • Can be bred using Cozy Crumbs.

🍄 Mushling​

Tiny mushroom pals that light your way at night.
Spawns: Forest, Dark Forest, Meadow, Mushroom Island, Snowy/Icy Biomes, Crimson Forest, Warped Forest, Lush Caves
Variants: Normal, Icy, Crimson, Warped, Lush
Taming & Breeding Item: Cozy Crumbs

Behavior

  • Can be tamed and sat.
  • Emits light at night and acts like a torch while following you.
  • Can be bred using Cozy Crumbs.

🦌 Mystical Elk​

Majestic mounts from the deep woods.
Spawns: Dark Forest
Variants: None
Taming & Breeding Item: Mystical Berries (from the Mystical Trader)

Behavior

  • Rideable like a horse.
  • Randomized speed and jump stats — hunt for a perfect roll.
  • Can be bred using Mystical Berries.

🌳 Arborist​

Job Block: Arborist Table

Trades

  • Sells all types of saplings.
  • At max level, can roll Cozy Crumbs as its special trade.

✨ Mystical Trader​

A rare merchant with magical goods.

Behavior

  • Spawns near players like the Wandering Trader. (20% chance every 30 minutes)
  • Sells Cozy Crumbs and Mystical Berries.
  • 15% chance to sell a Golden Leaf (price range: 48–64 emeralds).

🪵 Blocks​

🕯️ Tranquil Lantern​

Repels mobs and prevents mob spawning.

  • Range: 35 blocks by default (configurable).
  • Recipe: 8× Lantern + 1× Golden Leaf (center).
  • Fully configurable (radius and behavior).
  • Can visually see radius by pressing the keybind R (Default) while within the radius of the lantern.

🔥 Kiln​

A builder-focused smelter.

  • Smelts building blocks (stone, bricks, terracotta, clay, etc.) 2× faster.
  • Can re-dry wet concrete back into concrete powder.
  • Configurable cook time and XP.
  • Datapack-friendly: create custom recipes via config.

🌿 Arborist Table​

The job block for the Arborist villager.

  • Function: Used by villagers to take on the Arborist profession.
  • Recipe: A Barrel surrounded by any type of Sapling.

🍃 Items​

🍁 Golden Leaf​

  • Grants infinite regeneration while in your inventory.
  • Edible up to 3 times, each giving a Golden Apple effect.
  • Used to craft the Tranquil Lantern.

🍪 Cozy Crumbs​

  • Recipe: Wheat + Honey Bottle + Red Mushroom.
  • Used to tame Mushlings and Fernlings.

📯 Jungle Horn​

  • New goat horn variant found in Jungle Temples.

🍇 Mystical Berries​

  • Sold by the Mystical Trader.
  • Used to tame the Mystical Elk.

💿 Custom Music Discs​

Bring the cozy vibes to your world with original CozyStudios tracks.

⚙️ Features​

🎨 Recolor System​

Recolor beds, wools, and banners without remaking them.

  • Crafting table: combine the item with any dye to recolor.
  • In-world: right-click a placed bed/wool/banner with dye to recolor.
  • Fully toggleable in the config.

🧱 Mason Villager Trade Expansion​

Adds useful building materials to the Mason trade pool.

  • Novice (Lv 1): Packed Mud
  • Apprentice (Lv 2): Bricks, Mud Bricks
  • Journeyman (Lv 3): Tuff, Terracotta
  • Master (Lv 5): Calcite

Note: Masons have multiple choices per level; these new trades are randomly selected. Toggleable via config.

🧰 Custom Recipes​

Lightweight, practical additions:

  • Grind Stone → Gravel
  • Saddle recipe
  • Nametag recipe
  • Horse Armor recipes
  • And more

🍞 Peaceful Hunger​

Hunger now functions in Peaceful mode.

  • Can be disabled in the config.

📦 Stack Size Tweaks​

Items that normally stack to 16 can stack up to 64.

  • Configurable between 16–64.

🧩 Config Options​

Most systems are configurable: mob behaviors, block functions, villager trades, recipes, recolor rules, and stack sizes. Set it up for singleplayer chill or a tuned server experience.
