🛠️ Compat Workbench

The Compat Workbench is a new block that lets you swap between duplicate item variants. If we've merged five different Redwood Logs into one canonical version but you still want the look of another mod's Redwood, drop it into the workbench and pick the variant you want.

✨ How It Works

Right-click the workbench, place any convertible item in the input slot on the left, and a stonecutter-style list of variants shows up. Click one to get it.

Works both ways too. If you already have a variant from an old world or a loot chest, put it in and convert it back to any other variant. Every item in the same equivalence class can become any other.

🔍 JEI Integration

There's a dedicated Compat Workbench tab in JEI. Click any convertible item and you'll see all its equivalent variants listed under this tab.

📋 What Can I Convert?

Everything the mod consolidates. Currently that's:

• All wood block sets: logs, planks, slabs, stairs, doors, fences, signs, boats, and every other standard variant across every supported tree mod
• Every farming duplicate: Farmer's Delight and Farm & Charm equivalents (tomato, onion, dough, pasta, minced beef, bacon, etc.)
• Hops: Brewery, Alcocraft+, and Clutter hops and seeds
• Compat-dynamic items: Supplementaries sign posts and Suppsquared item shelves per wood

If a mod isn't installed, its variants just don't show up.
