About

Tokimi's Toolshed adds a variety of new multi-block tools to enhance your mining and gathering experience!

Tool	Description
Hammers	Mine a 3x3 area of stone and ores
Excavators	Dig a 3x3 area of dirt, gravel, sand, and soul sand
Scythes	Harvest a 3x3 area of crops and plants/till farmland in a 3x3 area
Lumber Axes	Chop down entire trees at once with accelerated leaf decay
Clippers	Work like shears just in a 3x3 area
Copper Bucket	A bucket with limited durability that weathers with use
Trowel	Places a random block from your hotbar
Abacus	Measures distances from width, height, and depth

All tools come in every vanilla tier (Wood, Stone, Iron, Gold, Diamond, Netherite), with optional support for Copper and Obsidian variants through compatible mods!

Crafting

Just craft them directly using standard materials! Each tool follows the vanilla tier progression, from wood all the way to netherite.

Tool Details

Hammers

Hammers function like pickaxes but break a 3x3 area of blocks. They work on stone, ores, and other blocks that a pickaxe would normally mine.

Excavators

Excavators function like shovels but break a 3x3 area. They work on dirt, gravel, sand, clay, soul sand, and other shovel-mineable blocks.

Scythes

Scythes harvest crops and break plants in a 3x3 area. They work on wheat, carrots, potatoes, beetroot, nether wart, and all other crop and plant blocks. They also till farmland in a 3x3 area!

Lumber Axes

Lumber Axes chop down entire trees in one swing. When a tree is felled, the leaves gradually decay over a few seconds, dropping saplings, sticks, and apples naturally. Hold sneak to chop a single block like a normal axe.

Clippers

Clippers work like shears but clip leaves/natural blocks in a 3x3 area. Available in Wood, Copper and Iron tiers.

Copper Bucket

A budget bucket made of copper. It functions exactly like a vanilla bucket — pick up and place water, lava, and powder snow, milk cows, fill and drain cauldrons, and works in dispensers. It has 16 uses before it breaks, and the tooltip updates to show remaining durability.

Trowel

Right-click to place a random block from your hotbar. Useful for creating natural-looking paths and surfaces.

Abacus

Right-click two positions to measure the distance between them. The distance is displayed on your HUD.

Modded Support

Tokimi's Toolshed has built-in compatibility with the following mods:

• Obsidian Equipment Reworked — Adds Obsidian tier Hammers, Excavators, Scythes, and Lumber Axes.
• Copper Age Backport — Adds Copper tier Hammers, Excavators, Scythes, Lumber Axes, and Clippers on versions below 1.21.9. On 1.21.9+, copper tools are included from Vanilla.

Upgrading from Excavators & Hammers

If you're upgrading from the old Excavators & Hammers mod, all your existing items will be automatically migrated to the new mod ID. Enchantments, durability, custom names, and all other data are fully preserved. No manual steps needed — just swap the mod file and load your world.

Q: Will there be updates? Yes! We plan to port to future Minecraft versions, but no backports.

Q: Will there be a Forge version? Not yet, but we're open to it.
