🍬 Blocks & Items

Squish introduces a handful of candy-themed items and blocks that make up the sugary crafting progression. Below is a breakdown of what each one does, how to get it, and why it exists.

🍡 Squish Candy​

The star of the mod.
This is the item used to permanently squish animals into their tiny form.

✅ How to Use​

  • Sneak + Right Click an animal
  • Shrinks them permanently
  • Consumes 1 candy (unless in Creative)
  • Ŕ̴͓̇E̸̛̮͌D̴̨͍͌͠Ẫ̵̙̺C̶̝̾T̶͕̠͒E̶̛̱Ḏ̴́́

✨ How to Craft​

Squish Candy is crafted through the candy progression system by:

  • Throwing Lollipops on the ground
  • Splashing them with Squish Essence

🧪 Squish Essence​

A distilled sugary concentrate used as an ingredient for more advanced candy.

How to Get​

  • Brewed using a Hardened Sugar Shard inside a Brewing Stand with Water Bottles
  • Don’t forget Blaze Powder in your stand!

🔥 Melted Sugar​

A gooey, translucent block/item.

How to Get​

  • Cook Sugar over a Campfire (not furnace!) to obtain Melted Sugar.

Uses​

  • Place in the world, wait 60 seconds, and watch it turn into Hardened Sugar
  • Wax with Honeycomb to keep it from hardening and use it as a building block
    (Unwax with any axe!)

🍬 Hardened Sugar​

A cooled, crystallized version of Melted Sugar.

How to Get​

  • Place Melted Sugar down in the world, wait 60 seconds, and watch it turn into Hardened Sugar

Uses​

  • Can be picked up with Silk Touch to obtain the block (not the shards)
  • Can be crafted into 4 Hardened Sugar Shards
  • Break with hand to obtain Hardened Sugar Shards

✨ Hardened Sugar Shard​

Hard sugar crystals used as the backbone for candy crafting.

How to Get​

  • Break Hardened Sugar with your hands to get a randomized 2–4 shards
  • Break with a Silk Touch pickaxe to then craft into 4 shards (100% of the time)
  • Break with a Fortune pickaxe to get more shards out of the Hardened Sugar

Uses​

  • Craft Lollipops
  • Used to brew Squish Essence
